Accra, Ghana – Former Ghanaian Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, Dominic Fobih, has tied the knot for the ninth time. The 80-year-old politician married his 27-year-old bride in a traditional ceremony on Saturday, May 7, 2023.
The wedding took place at the bride’s family home in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Fobih was dressed in a traditional Kente cloth, while his new wife wore a white and gold beaded-laced corset gown.
The couple’s traditional marriage photos show how joyous they are while taking this step. The politician was beaming with pride as he posed with his new wife, who looked stunning in her wedding gown.

Fobih is a former Education Minister and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He served as MP for Assin South from 1992 to 2000. He is also a former Minister of State in the Ministry of Education.
This is Fobih’s ninth marriage. He has been married eight times before, and has fathered 18 children. His previous marriages have ended in divorce.
Fobih’s latest marriage has been met with mixed reactions from Ghanaians. Some people have congratulated him on finding love, while others have criticized him for marrying a woman who is much younger than him.
Regardless of the public’s reaction, Fobih and his new wife seem to be very happy together. They are already planning their honeymoon, which will take place in Europe.
