In a shocking and disturbing incident, a Nigerian man put his daughter to the test of sleeping with someone for Ghs7,000 (approximately $650), before showering her with financial rewards and other incentives for refusing the offer. The incident, which has sparked outrage across the country, was captured on video and shared on social media.
According to reports, the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, spoke with Shuga Plum, a content creator, before conducting the test. He reportedly told Plum that he wanted to be sure of his daughter’s conduct in school, as he had seen how men carry young girls. Plum agreed to the plan and recorded the entire incident on video.
The man then set up the test and hid to observe his daughter’s actions. To his relief and pride, Chidinma, his daughter, showed up and immediately turned down the offer. She revealed that she had never had intercourse with a man, and her father, who had been hiding, came out and showered her with praise and rewards.
On the spot, the father offered Chidinma Ghs23,441 (approximately $2,100), a promise of migration to Canada, and a car. The video shows the father and daughter hugging and rejoicing, while Plum looks on in shock.
The incident has once again highlighted the issue of s3xual abuse and exploitation in Nigeria, and the need for parents and guardians to protect their children from harm. It also underscores the importance of education and awareness-raising campaigns to promote healthy s3xual relationships and prevent s3xual violence.
