RONAN Keating has broken his silence after becoming a granddad at 46 as his son Jack welcomed his ‘cutie’ granddaughter. The Boyzone singer’s eldest son revealed the news on Instagram and fans are left ‘gobsmacked’ by his adorable snap.
Jack announced the arrival of his daughter on Thursday night, sharing a black and white snap of him looking adoringly at her in his arms. It’s a picture which triggered an onslaught of congratulatory comments from his friends and fellow ‘Love Island’ stars.
Ronan gushed about the newborn, calling her “little cutie” and punctuating his post with a heart emoji. The ex-Boyzone crooner’s first wife Yvonne also commented about her new role as a grandmother. She wrote: “I miss her so much already [pink heart emojis]”
The news has baffled some Love Island fans who are wondering when Jack met his child’s mother. The 23-year-old appeared on the show in July last year, and he was one of the Casa Amor bombshells on that series.
According to Daily Mail, Jack is the eldest son of Ronan and Yvonne Connolly. They separated in 2010, but went on to divorce in 2015. The Irish singer re-married Australian fashion designer Storm Keating in 2015, and they share two children together – Cooper, five, and Coco, two.
The star’s step-mother Storm, and Jack’s biological mum also congratulated him, leaving red heart emojis under the sweet post. The birth of Jack’s baby has made Ronan and Yvonne the newest grandparents in Ireland, and they have both gush over their new addition to the family.
