Is Jesse Williams Returning To ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ For Good?
According to a report from Deadline, Jesse Williams will be back In Grey’s Anatomy. In October 2022, Deadline reported Jesse will appear in season 19 as both a guest star and a director.
However, it has not been confirmed if he will be a permanent cast or not. Jesse recently told People that he will be playing his old role on the series again. He will be on the team as long as the production team allows.
In the interview, he said to People, “I love the family that I have on that show. So that’s always going to be a form of home base for me. And I’ll always answer their call.”
Why Did Jesse Williams Leave Grey’s Anatomy?
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter why he left Grey’s Anatomy, Jesse revealed that “This was an organic, collective decision; it wasn’t something I had to tell anybody. It was something we found and understood and were trying to honour and do properly. It was a team effort throughout.
“It didn’t feel like any one of us coming to the other and having an outcome predetermined. We wrote something together and this is what it was.”
He also told Deadline that “As an actor, director, and person, I have been obscenely lucky to learn so much from so many and I thank our beautiful fans, who breathe so much energy and appreciation into our shared worlds.”
